Imo Guber: Uzodinma Broke Jinxes In Roads, Infrastructure; deserves 2nd term

“No politician is kind, forgives like Hope”

…Says: Gov stands tall among his peers

Ahead of the scheduled November 11, Imo State governorship election, the Special Adviser to Sen. Hope Uzodinma on Policy and Strategy, Barr Steve Asinobi has said that the governor has done so much in the areas of quality road construction,  infrastructure and overall development of the state.

This is even as Barr Asinobi advised the opposition to join hands with Governor Uzodinma so as to continue to steer Imo on the path of excellent developmental trajectory.

In a chat with newsmen in Owerri, weekend, Barr Asinobi who congratulated Senator Uzodinma on his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Imo gubernatorial poll last Friday, made it clear that the monumental achievements of the governor in less than four years in office, were evident in the speedy completion of the dualised Owerri-Orlu Road with solar road lights, the reconstruction of Owerri-Okigwe Road also equipped with solar road lights, the on-going construction of dual carriage Owerri-Umuahia Road, the construction of 5-kilometer roads in each of the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State, the construction and reconstruction of link roads in Owerri and other cities in the state, among many others.

Barr Asinobi who holds the traditional title of Ikenga, further hinted that it was against the background of the humongous achievements of Senator Uzodinma in barely four years in office, that virtually all the big names and who is who in Imo collapsed into the 3R administration of Senator Uzodinma in the state.

He said he has worked with virtually all the governors of Imo State since 1999, and has become experienced enough to offer informed analysis and opinion on governance in Imo.

He noted that Imo was on a steady march to greatness under Senator Uzodinma’s focused leadership, adding that the governor has remained consistently selfless, philanthropic, humane, kind, forgiving and above all, prudent in resource management; the reason he maintained, made the Omuma-born Imo number one citizen a successful businessman.

Asinobi revealed that Governor Uzodinma possesses the rare quality of bringing on board, anybody who has value to add in the development of the state irrespective of where he comes from, his political affiliation or past disagreement with him.

On former administrations in Imo State, Barr Asinobi described former Governor Achike Udenwa as a modest man who worked relentlessly to overhaul the state after the military exited government in 1999.

Asinobi described ex-Governor Ikedi Ohakim as a leader with very big ideas for the transformation of Imo State, but regreted that the political elites ganged up against his re-election bid, by so-doing scuttled that wonderful vision.

He opined that Senator Rochas Okorocha has prefence for big projects such as mansions, as well as being vocal.

The Special Adviser on Policy and Strategy however, noted that Governor Uzodinma was extraordinarily endowed with rare leadership qualities that have distinguished him from his peers.

He vowed that they in the 3R administration in Imo, would stop at nothing to use all channels of information dissemination to tell the world about the development revolution which he said, was presently going on in Imo State.
